Remote Spring 2026 Internship
Logistics: 12-20 hours/week, January-May 2026

The Center for Constitutional Rights seeks experienced second- or third-year law students or LLM students with a strong commitment to social justice to provide legal research and analysis as part of a semester-long paid internship or externship opportunity. It is possible to provide placements for part-time in-person positions or hybrid in-person and remote positions, but this will need to be discussed with the candidate.

ACLU-NBLSA Southern Legal Internship Program 2026
Time Commitment:
Full-time (35 hours/week) for 10 weeks in Summer 2026 (likely starts June 1 or June 15, 2026)
Compensation: $8,400
Location:
One SLIP intern will be hired by each of the ACLU Southern Collective affiliates.
Orientation:
Before the internship begins, SLIP interns will participate in an orientation with their cohort and staff from ACLU National and Southern Collective offices. The date and format of the orientation (including whether it will be held virtually or in person) are TBD. Travel to and from the orientation and lodging will be provided by the ACLU.

Summer 2026 Legal Internship
About:
The Office of Capital & Forensic Writs (OCFW) is seeking bright and motivated law students interested in indigent defense and capital appeals to help develop claims on behalf of our clients. The OCFW is a statewide appellate public defender agency in Austin, Texas. Our legal interns will work as part of teams of attorneys, mitigation specialists, and paralegals representing clients sentenced to death or sentenced to terms of incarceration following junk-science-tainted trials.*
Compensation: Unpaid, but they will work with you to secure funding
Location: Austin, Texas
*Preferred bilingual in Spanish and English
Justice Catalyst administers one-year, potentially renewable, project-based fellowships for graduating law students, or graduates up to two years out of law school, to support innovative public interest work at nonprofit organizations, as well as unions, government agencies, and plaintiff-side or public interest law firms.
For third-year students or recent graduates (up to 2 years past graduation).
